Sophie's Story
Sophie girl came to us due to some sad circumstances. Her previous mom had terminal health issues and while her beloved Sophie was something that keep her going eventually she couldn't care for her anymore. Her main goal was finding a safe place for Sophie to land where she would be loved and given the chance to bring as much joy and love to a new family as she did her first mom.

Sophie has been understandably shy since coming into our program but once she warms up to people she is just the sweetest girl who just wants to be loved. She would do best in a relaxed home as either an only pet or with other calm animals who will leave her be. She would be best with an adult only home or only older children who allow her to decide when she wants attention. Her new family will need to be patient with her at first while she adjusts to her new life and who are willing to give her time to decompress. We do currently have her on a medication to help her relax but the hope is that once she is comfortable she will not have to remain on that medication.

Sophie is around 2 years old as of 9/12/25.

The adoption fee for a single cat is $125 and includes distemper vaccine, rabies, dewormer, flea treatment, spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV Combo test and microchip.

If you would like to potentially adopt this cat please either email catadoption@lunashouse.org for more information or complete the application online using the link on the main adoptable cats page on the website.
