This green eyed beauty was abandoned by her owner and had no where to go. She is a little timid at first but responds well to affection. She has been both indoors and outdoors and is litterbox trained. She has really adapted fast to being inside at our shelter and is getting along well with the other cats but is not a fan of dogs though. Sophie will make a great kitty for someone! Stone County Humane Society Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We approve adoptions over the phone by responding to a completed adoption application. Please go to our website schspets.org and complete an online application and someone will contact you. Our adoption fees are $150 for shelter dogs and $200 for Paws in Prison trained dogs, and $75 for cats. We take only cash or check no credit cards. We are open daily from 2 to 5 by appointment only (during the Pandemic). Volunteers are here Monday - Friday from 11 to 5 to answer the phone and help with adoptions.
