Sootica's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.<br/>This petite little beauty is a friendly little lady with an affinity for pets, rubbing up against her foster's legs, and sitting at the door waiting for human attention and love. Sootica adores human attention but has her own unique way of enjoying it. She won't compete for your lap as she prefers a space next to her human soaking up attention while keeping her independence. Sootica loves to be brushed and petted and will sit with her humans when they visit and give head butts and kisses but then also will walk away when cuddle time is over. She wukk show off her loud purr when snuggled, is easy going, and enjoys some light play time at times but also has the wisdom of just chilling out by the window while watching the birds Presently she and Harrison are hanging out together in their foster home. They're still getting used to each other but it looks like they'll become friends. She may also be an ok kitty as a solo if you only have room for one. Sootica is thriving in her foster home and is a favorite of her foster family - black cats rule! She also is turning into a very active wand play kitty who enjoys jumps and fun with the wand. Sootica is UTD on vaccines, has tested negative for Felv/FIV, has been microchipped, dewormed spayed and does not mind nail trims. Now all she needs is YOU! An adopter with a history of documented annual feline veterinary care is required.

Animal Coalition of Delaware County's Adoption Policy
We believe in an adoption approach that considers important details for finding the right fit, such as a person's home, interests and lifestyle. We then match those with an animal's social, exercise and training needs. Unlike “pass/fail” application programs, we strive to match people and animals through education and discovery. We accomplish this through conversation to create an effective, pleasant adoption experience — and most important — to make lasting matches.  Each situation, adopter and animal requires a different approach. And while we reserve the right to refuse an adoption, we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the right pet for you.
