Sol's Story

Hi, I’m Sol!
I’m six years old and spent a long time figuring out life as a stray, so I’m still learning that people can be safe and kind. I may seem shy at first, but that’s just because I’ve had to be brave on my own for a long time. Deep down, I’ve got a big, gentle heart that’s ready to trust—slowly, at my own pace.
With patience, quiet reassurance, and someone who believes in me, I know I can blossom into the loving companion I’m meant to be. If you give me a chance, I’ll give you all the warmth I’ve been saving up—just waiting for the right person to unlock it.
I’m also FIV-positive, which just means I’ll need a little extra care and an indoor life, but I can still live a full, happy life and love you just the same.
Being FIV-positive doesn’t stop me from living a long, happy, cuddly life—it just means I have a slightly weaker immune system and benefit from regular vet care and an indoor lifestyle.
FIV is not contagious through sharing food bowls, litter boxes, toys, or snuggles. It’s mainly spread through deep bite wounds, so relaxed, friendly cats like me can safely live with other cats as long as everyone gets along.
With love, routine checkups, and a cozy home, FIV-positive cats like me thrive and make wonderful companions. Don’t let three little letters scare you—I’m ready for a full life and a full heart!
If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.

Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.

As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.
