Soda Cracker (Sodie)'s Story
We think Soda Cracker (Sodie) was born in early May 2025. She was taken in by Melba Toast (also up for adoption) with her litter of kittens, where she was accepted as a member of the family. When Sodie was brought into care in early July, she was extremely thin and very terrified. She was relieved to be reunited with Melba, who resumed nursing, feeding and cuddling little Sodie.

As a young adult, she remains close to Melba as well as her Aunt Triscuit. The trio love to hang out and cuddle together, watch the birds and squirrels outside the window, and especially at night, love to play, chasing each other around the home. Sodie will let herself be pet, though does not seek it out, except when she follows Triscuit and Sodie asthey come visit people - particularly when there are treats involved. Sodie is a sweet, gentle and playful kitty. She is easily startled and would prefer a quiet home without young children or dogs. She would love to be adopted with Triscuit, Melba – or preferably both, as much as we know that is a tall order!

NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.

NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.

NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada
