Socks's Story

Hello! My name is Socks, and I am a softspoken, sweet young girl. I also happen to be gorgeous! I'm about 1-2 years old and as cute as can be.

It was getting cold outside, so I found my way to my Foster Mom's house. I immediately fell in love with her 11-year-old daughter, so I would do very well in a home with older children. I have not been tested with younger ones or with dogs.

It took me a little longer to come around to the adults in the home, but now I enjoy all the pets I can get from everyone in my home. A lot of noise does make me a little nervous and sometimes I hide when I am nervous. I would do best in a quiet home as an only pet or with another calm cat.

My time outside has unfortunately led to an FIV positive test. FIV is an auto immune disease. I can still live a long, normal life with FIV, but need to be kept inside and get my regular check ups at the vet. I can live safely with other cats because FIV is not easily transmitted (only by deep bite wound).
