Sobakawa's Story
Are you looking for a kitten or two who could fit in just about any home? Soba came to the rescue at just about 1 week old, so she's had the privilege of being socialized to a variety of things to prepare her for her future home! She's grown up around a variety of adult cats, other kittens, a variety of dogs, some kids, and lots of different noises and textures. This has helped Soba feel confident in new situations and try to make new friends.

Soba has grown up with her little (literally) sister, Ginsu, in foster homes for the majority of her young life. Soba seems to try to extend olive branches to the adult cats in the home while Ginsu takes longer to warm up. Even when Ginsu is being a little hissy punk, Soba will still play with her and treat her like a true sister. She doesn't baby her, but they are seen cuddling together more often than not. If Ginsu has decided she's a big girl and doesn't need her big sister, then Soba will simply find another cat to play friends with, whether they know it or not.

Ways Soba likes to pass the time are wrestling and chasing her sister across the house or on a brand new office mat. When that isn't possible, Worm on a String is great fun too. Just wedge the stick end of the wand toy in some furniture, and she does all the work for you playing with the worm end. Lastly, anything being draped over something. A sheet over a chair? So much fun. Blanket over an ottoman? Perfect ambush zone. Tablecloth? On the floor in about two seconds if it's not secured. That is also just as much fun on the floor, by the way.

While there's a positive side to growing up in shelter/rescue, Soba doesn't want to keep sharing homes she can't call her own.
