7-year-old Snowdrop is a sweet and endearing feline who enjoys cheek scratches, bird watching, and catnip. She has a beautiful long-hair coat that she loves to have brushed. Her foster mom tells us that she has the best purrs that are incredibly soothing after a long day. Snowdrop is currently fostering with cats and would do well with a laid back feline sibling or as an only cat.
Before joining Ten Lives, Snowdrop experienced an injury that left her rear legs paralyzed. Snowdrop doesn't let this slow her down! She zips around the house, pulls herself up on the coach, climbs carpeted stairs, and loves using a vertical scratcher to workout her front legs. She also uses a low entry litter box with ease. After consulting with a veterinary neurologist, it was determined that this was a permanent injury that could not be fixed; however, she is not in any pain and her condition should not worsen. Recently, Snowdrop began having periodic seizures, but this has been well controlled with the use or oral medication. She is an excellent patient and takes it easily with an oral syringe.
We are dedicated to Snowdrop's success and want to ensure that she thrives in her adoptive home. She is available for adoption or foster-to-adopt!
Ten Lives' Foster-to-Adopt program gives potential adopters the opportunity to interact and bond with a cat in a home setting prior to making a lifelong commitment. This program is a great way to see a cat's true personality and watch how they integrate into your household. Please note, only cats listed as foster-to-adopt are eligible for this program.
How does it work?
Foster-to-Adopt applicants are approved through our normal adoption process and based on the specific needs of the cat. Once approved, you will bring home your new friend and have 30 days to determine whether they are a perfect fit for you and your family. During the 30-day foster-to-adopt period, you will be responsible for providing food and litter; however, Ten Lives will provide outstanding veterinary care at a partner veterinarian. Please note: Ten Lives will not cover care provided by a non-partner veterinarian. Please take this into consideration when submitting a foster-to-adopt application.
At the end of the 30 days, you can make the adoption official by signing an adoption agreement and paying the adoption fee or you can return the cat to the care of Ten Lives. If you wish to continue fostering until adoption, Ten Lives will list the cat for adoption on their website and social media pages!
Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in fostering-to-adopt from Ten Lives!

ABOUT TEN LIVES:
Ten Lives is a foster-based program and does NOT have a brick and mortar facility with regular visiting hours. We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization and require an approved adoption application prior to scheduling meet and greets with animals. This is out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, as well as helping to ensure our animals are matched to the homes that best meet their needs.
We require that all applicants have a satisfactory veterinary reference and provide proof of homeownership OR landlords approval. We will contact all applicants who meet our minimum requirements within 96business hours of receiving your application.During kitten season wait times may be longer. We ask for your patience as we are all volunteers!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed/neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
