Snow's Story

We live trapped Snow on our back patio on March 7. After advertising locally to determine if anyone was missing him, we took him to our partnering vet for a checkup. Snow was unneutered and has no microchip. While at the vet, we had him neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (negative for both), and dewormed. The vet says he’s 2-3 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. From his size, distinctive white color, and markings, he could be a flame point Siamese.

Snow may have been on his own for a while. Although he doesn’t have the battle scars of an old feral, he does have some feral wariness of humans. Initially, he shied away from being touched, but we are now regularly petting and brushing him. We have also introduced him to our two adult rescues, and he behaved perfectly.

Snow is still young and just beginning his story. We will give him the time, space, and grace he needs to adjust to life among humans, but he is available for adoption if you would like to write the next chapters. As we have seen from numerous successful feral adoptions, it takes a special kind of patience and generosity to invite a feral into your life. They are intelligent and perhaps a bit odd, but they are also capable of great love and gratitude.

The $150 adoption fee covers his medical expenses to this point as well the remainder of his vaccination series. If you would like to visit Snow, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me to arrange a time. And if you are considering adopting him, please fill out and submit an adoption contract. You can download the contract from my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com) or from my Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group Facebook page. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
