Smudge's Story

Meet Smudge!

Smudge is a stunning, affectionate cat with a heart full of love. He adores attention—whether it’s rubbing against your face or curling up on your lap for endless pets and kisses. This sweet boy is incredibly gentle, and loves to nap right behind you on the couch. When his energy kicks in, you’ll catch him zooming around in the cutest thing.

Smudge is friendly with people, cats, and even calm dogs—but because of his special needs, he would do best as an only pet in a quieter home. He also has a soft spot for humans of all ages, though we think a home without young children would be ideal so his diet can stay carefully managed.

Smudge has a short colon and a sensitive stomach, so he must be kept on a strict, special diet. Regular cat food or wet food will upset his tummy and cause accidents, so his family will need to stay consistent with the food that works for him. Smudge also has feline herpes, which can cause a stuffy or runny nose during stressful times—but it always clears up.

He’s been to the vet many times, and we’ve found a diet that helps him feel his best. Still, there may be occasional clean-ups. If you’re squeamish about poop or can’t commit to keeping up with his care, Smudge may not be the right match—but if you have patience, love, and time, you’ll find he’s worth every bit of effort.

Smudge is about 8 years old, and he is truly special. He’s gentle, loving, and will happily spend his days napping, purring, and soaking up your affection. If you’re ready to give this sweet boy the stable, loving home he deserves, we’d love to hear from you!
