Smokey - Road Warriors

Meet Smokey, a very sweet, gentle boy with a big purr and an even bigger heart. He loves to cuddle, goes limp when picked up, and rewards you almost instantly with his purr. As the first of his litter rescued, he spent time as an only kitten and formed a close bond with humans, even developing a habit of wanting to nurse on his person after being weaned by bottle — he still has a particular fondness for people today.

Still very much a kitten, Smokey has plenty of playful energy too, loving games of tag, feather wand mash pits, and merciless toy mouse hunts. He's a gorgeous ticked tabby with a soft salt-and-pepper coat, and would love to be adopted with one of his siblings (Sierra, Nevada, San Juan, or a Road Warrior) or with another playful companion. He's lived successfully with four adult cats of varying temperaments and has calmly shared space with dogs too, handling it all well.

Smokey was born to a stray mother at a Salem apartment complex and, like his siblings, decided a Mustang's engine compartment made a fine home, riding along on at least one car trip before faint mewing gave him away and he was rescued. Now retired from automotive living, he's ready for his next chapter: a loving home full of cuddles, toys to destroy, and ideally a friend to share it all with.

Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to setting up a meet.
