Meet Smokey - I'm at Petsmart!
Say hello to Smokey. She is a beautiful lady who is around 9 years old. Smokey found herself at the shelter because she was sick and her loving family knew she needed to get medical care. Smokey was diabetic and was put on insulin and a special diet. With treatment, she went into remission and her blood glucose is currently being maintained with just her prescription diet. While she no longer requires insulin, it is something that will have to be monitored at her regular vet visits throughout her life.
Smokey is extremely sweet. She loves to cuddle and get attention, and will even sleep in bed with you. Unfortunately Smokey will need to be an only cat, but she is good with children.
If you have been looking for a love bug and have the ability to care for her medically, email adoptions@manchesteranimalshelter.org to receive an application. Or come see her at Petsmart and fill out an application while you're here!
