Smokey & Hazel's Story

Smokey and Hazel are a bonded brother and sister. Smokey is curious and playful. He takes a bit longer to warm up to you but when he does he always wants to be pet. He loves playing with our other 3 kittens and gets along great with them. Hazel is calm and playful, she is almost the opposite of Smokey. She will warm up to new people fairly quickly and is not as rowdy as Smokey, unless they are playing together - then they are both very energetic!

Smokey and Hazel both showed up together in front of our house as small kittens. They were very timid and only came around when my parents would give them food. Over time my parents gained their trust and they started letting them hold them. It wasn't until we rescued 2 other kittens and cleared out our garage to make space for all 4 did we catch Smokey and Hazel. We have been fostering them since about September and we want them to have a permanent forever home so they don't just have to be in the garage and can one day be inside and explore their forever home .

The ideal home for all 4 of our kittens, including Smokey and Hazel, would be a home where they would be indoors only, not cooped up in one room. A place where they can explore the entire home and free roam. Ideally they would be the only cats in the home as they have only been around each other, unless it is a kitten around their age of 10 months.

Smokey and Hazel do not have special needs but we had to take Smokey to the ER last month because the side of his face started swelling up. We think he was bitten by a spider, but the vet gave him medicine and he healed up in a few days and is back to 100%.

Smokey & Hazel are currently living in San Jose, CA 95132

Please note:
- Smokey & Hazel should be adopted with a littermate

For more information or to apply for Smokey & Hazel, please go to:
https://www.peninsulacatworks.org/adoption/cat.php?id=2257

[id=2257;ts=1766520030;src=pf]
