Hi, my name is Slate!<br/>I’m a big gray cat with a bigger heart and an even bigger personality.<br/><br/>I’ve got gorgeous green eyes, extra toes (polydactyl perks), and a very serious reputation as Mr. Lover Boy. Personal space? Never heard of her. Stand next to me for one second and, ope, you’ve got a new accessory: a cozy Slate-gray scarf (that’s me). I like to be inside your skin, emotionally speaking.<br/><br/>I love being held. I’ll rub my face all over you, soak up every ounce of affection, and purr like it’s my full-time job. I make excellent muffins too. Stop petting me? Unacceptable. I will follow you to remind you that we were not finished. (Unless… food bowl. Sometimes I need a quick pit stop. Priorities.)<br/><br/>I’m a big fan of other cats, you’ll usually find me curled up in a snuggle puddle with my friends. I love pets, cuddles, and being part of the action.<br/><br/>I’ll be honest with you though: I wasn’t always this affectionate. It took me some time to learn that people can be safe and kind. I might need a little patience as I settle into a new home, but trust me, this lover boy is worth the wait.<br/><br/>If you think I might belong in your family, you can come meet me any day between 1–5pm, even holidays. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.<br/><br/>I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations.
