Skylar Diggins's Story

Meet Skylar Diggins! She is approximately two years old.

Skylar is a short-haired tortico (tortoiseshell/calico) girl who is very vocal and affectionate. She loves to follow you around exploring and asking for head scratches while she rubs up on your legs. Her favorite things include chasing after her wand toy, running through her tunnel, and hanging out in blanket forts near her human.

Skylar needs time to adapt to new places/people. She is still learning how to let you know when she wants pets, food, and play in an appropriate way. On occasion she will give a light bite to try to communicate her needs. Her foster family has worked hard on this with her, and she is currently taking Gabapentin to help with transitions and putting her at ease.

But don’t let the tortitude fool you! Skylar will be the perfect companion to a cat-savvy someone who wants to spend plenty of time together (and be rewarded with lots of snuggles!).

What Skylar is looking for in a home:

- She is new to indoor life with humans, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make her nervous.
- She will need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- She will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- She feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- She needs to live indoors only.
- She would like to be the only pet in the home.
- She needs an adult-only home.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in Skylar! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt her by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
