Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! <br/><br/><br/>SKY and her siblings (SAWYER & STUART) were saved by an independent rescuer. They came from a mom at a colony in the area South Los Angeles, California. Once the kittens were stable, the rescuer reached out to us. And now they are with our rescue.<br/><br/><br/>Meet SKY, a young feline with a heart full of curiosity. Her personality is a delightful blend of goofy and mellow, making every moment spent with her a joy. SKY's intelligence shines through in her playful antics, as she effortlessly turns everyday objects into toys. She's energetic, always ready for a game of chase, and brave, unafraid to explore new territories. <br/><br/><br/>But, SKY also has a shy side. She can be a bit timid and skittish, yet this only adds to her charm. SKY's unique combination of traits makes her a delightful companion. Adopt SKY and bring home not just a pet, but a friend who will fill your days with laughter and love.<br/><br/><br/>SKY is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / RUSSIAN BLUE MIX. She is about 1 year and 10 months old. She is good with cats. She has never been around children or dogs. <br/><br/><br/>SKY is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/><br/>1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract<br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>APRIL 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. <br/><br/><br/>Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.<br/><br/><br/>******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************<br/><br/><br/>The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.<br/><br/><br/>PETSMART <br/><br/>in City of Industry, California off Colima Road<br/><br/>in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue<br/><br/>in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue<br/><br/>in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue<br/><br/><br/>The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. *************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
