He's smart, thoughtful, and just a little reserved when you first meet him—but give him a little patience, and you'll discover a cat who will happily follow you around, hoping you'll stop for a game...or maybe just a few extra pets.<br/>Skip isn't the type to burst into a room announcing his arrival.<br/>He's more likely to peek around the corner first.<br/>Size things up.<br/>Make sure everyone seems nice.<br/>And then...<br/>Before you know it, you'll notice a little shadow quietly trailing behind you.<br/>That's Skip's way of saying, 'I think you're my person.'<br/>One of the things that makes Skip so special is how clever he is. His foster family discovered he loves solving little treat puzzles, and watching him work through them is both impressive and hilarious. You can almost see the wheels turning as he studies the challenge before confidently figuring it out.<br/>Brains?<br/>He's got plenty.<br/>But fortunately, he uses them for good.<br/>When playtime begins, Skip is all in. Toys are serious business, and if one of his favorite volunteers walks into the room, there's a good chance he'll politely follow along, just in case a game is about to happen. He has a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship, making him the kind of cat who's happy to chase a toy one minute and curl up nearby the next.<br/>Skip has been fostered with other cats and has done wonderfully. In fact, we think he'd make an excellent companion for a resident kitty looking for a new best friend. IMPORTANT: Do NOT submit a Petfinder "Start Your Inquiry" form—these inquiries are not reviewed and will delay the adoption process. If we feel there may be a match, our Interview Team will contact you. If we mutually agree to move forward, we'll arrange a meeting at our Palo Alto location. A $50 deposit (applied toward the adoption fee) is required to reserve the first opportunity to meet.
