Skip's Story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Meet Skip, the 2 year old boy who ended up DPS Rescue after sneaking into a delivery truck seeking a quiet spot away from the bustling city noise. Unfortunately, the truck drove off, leaving Skip miles away from his quiet corner. Now safely in our care, Skip, though shy, shows his sweet and smart nature by solving little puzzles for treats and loyally following his favorite volunteers around, hoping for a game. He's gentle, loves to play, and is waiting for someone who appreciates a loyal and intelligent companion to come along and make his acquaintance.
He has been in a foster home with other kitties and would do fine as a companion for a resident cat. He also has had interactions with dogs, and we think he will settle in if his new home has a pup on board. All Skip needs is a chance to steal your heart. If you think he could be your guy, apply to adopt him today!
He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.
