Six-toed Silas's Story

Silas is our sweet orange kitten who is about six months old and has SIX toes which makes him looks even more like a lion. (The official, super cool term for a cat with six toes is "polydactyl.")

Silas LOVES other cats and is especially fond of Ms. Lynn, another adoptable cat in his foster home. They both are super playful and have similar play styles, ie. they love tackling each other, playing in one spot, and playing footsies. And honestly? They might be my favorite duo ever.

Silas came in to Friends of Felines with a noticeable limp and vets ruled that he needed surgery on both back legs. He's had two weeks to recover from surgery and still has at least two more weeks of restricted activity.

I've been holding Ms. Lynn up to the crate that Silas is recovering in, and he immediately perks up and reaches out to play with her. :')

Silas isn't a huge fan of chaos and loud noises, so young children and dogs may spook him.

All cats and kittens adopted through Friends of Felines are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations and rabies shots (if old enough). Silas tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you'd like to meet baby Silas, see our adoption process below:

~

1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.

** We are not able to hold cats for a particular family longer than about 7 days, unless the cat is available for pre-adoption which will be noted on their profile. Please wait to apply until you are ready to take a cat home. **

We are a completely foster-based nonprofit rescue run by volunteers. We do this work out of love<3
