Sissy's Story

Sissy, short for "Big Sis", is a 1 year old spayed female, black, longhair cat.<br/><br/>She is very curious, playful and friendly with people she knows!<br/><br/>Sissy is a lapcat and enjoys being held or snuggling in her foster parent's lap. You can hear her purring loudly when she is happy!<br/><br/>She loves playing will all kinds of toys, including small jingle balls, toy mice, crinkle tunnels, and anything that she can bat around with her paws.<br/><br/>Sissy is very playful and feisty with other cats. She wants to make friends, but it will take her some time to get used to a new cat friend. While in her foster home, she met other cats of differing temperaments and either respected their space or wanted to play.<br/><br/>She needs a home that has other young cats that she can make friends with and play with, she enjoys wrestling with other cats too!<br/><br/>She saw dogs in her foster home and might do best without them as she is rather shy with them.<br/><br/>Special Diet: Sissy was recently diagnosed with urinary crystals and is currently on a urinary care food, Royal Canin S/O. Puyallup Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: - The first step, if you are interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats, is to fill out and submit an adoption application. You can request an application by emailing us or by sending an inquiry through Petfinder. A volunteer will contact you after it has been submitted to speak with you about your application and about the pet you are applying to adopt. - If you rent, we require your landlord's permission to adopt a dog or a cat. We require a completely fenced yard to adopt a dog. - After approval, all adopters must agree to and sign an adoption agreement. We do not adopt out pets as gifts unless the recipient is there to meet the pet themselves. - All pets are spayed or neutered before adoption. ADOPTION FEES: Cats over one year in age are $200. Kittens one year old and younger are $250. Cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, tested for FIV & Felv, and are given the vaccinations for Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). Dogs & puppies are $300.00 with an additional $50.00 obedience training refundable deposit. When you complete an accredited obedience class with your new dog or puppy, then we will send you back the $50.00 deposit. Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, and are given the vaccinations for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). We accept cash or check. Card payments are an additional fee of $5. ADOPTION EVENT LOCATIONS: Our rescue partners with the PetSmart in Sunrise Village located at: 10309 156th Street East Puyallup, WA 98373 Please check our Petfinder Pet List to see all of our cats and dogs that are available for adoption. Our adoptable dogs and cats stay in foster homes and they are brought to adoption events which are normally on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Sunrise PetSmart. Dogs are also brought to PetSmart's special adoption events. Please contact Puyallup Animal Rescue and not PetSmart to verify adoption status if you are interested in a specific pet. VOLUNTEERING: We are a foster home-based adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We rely on our network of volunteers to care for the animals until they find permanent homes. If you would like to foster for us, please email us and request a foster application! If you are unable to foster, there are other opportunities, such as attending and helping out at our bi-monthly adoption events.
