Sissy's Story
I am a beautiful silver-gray and white tabby with spots and stripes and really big thumbs. I got my name from a 70s novel about a girl with extra-large thumbs who hitchhikes, but I only want to hitchhike my way into your heart.

I'm also polydactyl, with a tiny extra toe tucked in next to each of my thumbs, and an extra toe on only one rear foot. Very unusual. Did you know that ancient sailors thought cats with extra toes were good luck? I think they were right!

I am energetic and love to play and climb cat-trees. When the human brings out an interactive string toy I go bonkers! I enjoy being petted and cuddled, but only for a while. I am not a clingy "Velcro" cat. My foster human says I'm a bit of an ornery character, very insistent on getting what I want.

I am somewhat reserved, so it takes a while for me to accept a new human, but your patience will be rewarded because I will be a great kitty pal! I get along with other cats (with proper introduction) and would love to have a companion. My mother, Gracie, is also available to adopt and we are great playmates.

I am spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and have my vaccinations.
