SINATRA - FRONT-DECLAWED BLUE-EYED GENTLE SWEET CAT Domestic Short Hair Plano, TX

Sinatra was rescued from a local kill shelter. This beautiful cat was brought in by a woman who said her neighbors moved and left him behind. She told the shelter he was two years old and a wonderful cat and seemed to know a lot about him so the shelter staff asked her for her neighbor's information so they could reach out to his owners. To this she replied that she didn't know them that well. Okay, perhaps. The immediate suspicion and probability is that this was her cat and she was circumventing the owner surrender process which is cumbersome. Sinatra was neutered, front-declawed and microchipped, although his chip had never been registered. The shelter reached out to FFAR asking if we had room for this super sweet cat and we said yes. It was intitially suspected that he may be deaf, as is a genetic defect in many blue-eyed solid white cats, but after testing him more extensively, he seems to hear just fine. Sinatra is on the shy side but only initially which makes sense if he had a home and suddenly found himself in a shelter. For street cats who have been scrounging for food, shelter life is a step up, but a kitty that has had an cushy inside home has their entire world turned upside down to find themself in a noisy scary shelter. So Sinatra was scared, but he adjusted very quickly both in the shelter and in his foster home. He's a gentle cat and a total love, not to mention gorgeous with beautiful blue eyes.
