One of Simba’s favorite places to be is curled up in your lap for a cozy nap, soaking up pets and attention.<br/><br/>Simba is a loving young adult who enjoys being picked up and cuddled—and once he knows you, he’s perfectly happy to be cradled like a baby. He warms up quickly to kind people, and most visitors know within minutes that Simba is something special.<br/><br/>Estimated to be 3–4.5 years old, Simba has a beautiful soft orange (buff) tiger-striped coat and warm yellow eyes that will melt your heart. With his sweet personality and movie-star good looks, it’s easy to see why we say that if he were named after an American icon, he’d be Swayze!<br/><br/>Simba would do best in a home with adults and/or older, calm children who know how to be gentle with cats. He has done well meeting another cat with a slow, proper introduction, and he bonded nicely with a 13-year-old child in his foster environment. While he hasn’t been around dogs with Laurel Cats, his easygoing nature may allow him to adjust with the right introduction.<br/><br/>Simba is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loving companion who will happily share your couch, your lap, and your heart, Simba may be the perfect match for you.<br/><br/>You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. <br/><br/>We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).<br/><br/>NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Laurel Cats's Adoption Policy
Since Laurel Cats is primarily a spay and neuter group rather than a rescue with a shelter, the cats that we have for adoption are living at the homes of our volunteers. Please contact us and we will gladly put you in touch with the volunteers caring for these cats. Finding volunteer foster space is challenging, and once a cat or kitten is ready for adoption we are naturally keen to free up the space in order to help more cats and kittens in need. We therefore ask that you only apply to adopt one of our cats or kittens if you are in a position to take them immediately, subject to a home check.
