Simba Girl (Courtesy Post)'s Story
Simba is a beautiful black domestic shorthair with striking white whiskers, soulful eyes and really cute paws. She’s approximately 14 years old, affectionate, playful (especially with feather wands!), and loves human company.

Her story is special: I rescued Simba and her sister from a local park, where they had been abandoned after their previous guardian passed away from cancer. I got them medical care and welcomed them into my home. Her sister sadly passed away in March 2025, and I’ve been trying to help Simba adjust to life with my two young male cats since then.

Despite all the right steps and a lot of patience, Simba isn’t getting along with her foster brothers as much as I would like. And my HOA allows for only 2 cats, but Simba makes 3. I need to rehome Simba so I can be in compliance with that too but more importantly so that Simba can thrive being the queen of her home as she rightly should.

Health:

Simba is in very good health considering her age. She is currently on a low dose of prozac as are my two boy cats, to keep the stress of their coexistence to a minimal. It has been working, and I would foresee this is something she could be weaned off of once in a new home that works for her!

A Social Butterfly!

Simba does very well with strangers and friends who enter our home. She does not hide nor act defensively or aggressively. She is truly a people person and is the center of attention when guests arrive! My friends are often surprised by her extremely social nature, especially for a cat.

She’s a wonderful companion who still has lots of love and life left to give. If you’re looking to give a senior cat a second chance at comfort and peace, Simba might just be your girl.

Simba is being cared for by a member of the community.
