Simba's Story

Meet Simba The Self-Appointed Supervisor!

Simba's story started with uncertainty. He was found abandoned at an apartment complex, trying his best to fit in with a nearby colony of feral cats. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person stepped in and gave him the second chance he deserved.

These days, Simba has traded survival mode for a much more important role: Quality Control Manager of mealtime! You'll often find him perched nearby, carefully supervising volunteers as they prepare meals, making sure every cat gets an equitable portion. (He's very committed to fairness... especially if extra food is involved!)

Simba is a laid-back guy who enjoys the simple things in life—good meals, string toys, chasing balls, and strolling around as if he owns the place. He definitely has a confident "I'm the boss here" attitude, and honestly, everyone just lets him believe it.

While Simba is a sweet boy who enjoys pets and affection, he's also independent and appreciates having his own space. He's happiest with people who understand that sometimes he wants cuddles, and sometimes he just wants to supervise from a distance.

Simba would do best as the only cat in his forever home. He's decided that sharing his kingdom with other felines just isn't his style and can be a bit of a bully toward other cats.

If you're looking for a charming, easygoing companion with a big personality, a great sense of humor, and the confidence of a king, Simba is ready to rule your heart—and maybe keep an eye on your dinner preparations, too!

Safe Haven for Animals's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process We have a clear and well-structured process in place to find the best possible homes for our animals in need. This process begins with you filling out our Adoption Request Form designed to collect important details and insights from potential adopters so we can match you with the best possible pet. Once complete, we move forward by setting up a visit for you to meet our cats in person. One of our Adoption Coordinators will provide a tour of our facility and introduce you to our available cats. Our adoption coordinators have extensive knowledge of every cat and can help answer questions about individual personalities, habits, and special needs. Should you decide to choose a specific cat during this meeting, we then schedule a home visit to deliver your new pet, ensure it’s a safe and suitable environment, and provide a care kit for the new pet. To support a smooth transition, we also make a follow-up call about a week later to see how everything is going to ensure both the adopter and the cat are settling in well together.
