Simba's Story

Simba is waiting to feel the love tonight (and every day)!

Are you able to resisit a slightly chonky and ultra sweet granny cat? If you can...why are you even here!?! Simba quickly roared her way into our collective hearts, as well as a few duly selected laps, simply by doing nothing more than existing. Having been surrendered to the shelter by her previous owners due to some ongoing stress and health concerns, Simba's shyness is just as understandable as it is clearly a mask for her true nature -- a cuddly and social butterfly who wants nothing more than to be attended to by her humans! Her previous home was pretty active and full, including other animals, so she would do best in a quieter space where she only needs to share the couch with you. She might do alright in a home with an equally low energy and more independent cat that will let her settle in on her own terms, but definitely not with any high energy or pushy types.

Simba was having issues not using the litter box in that home, which we suspect may have something to do with the other cats she wasn't fond of (she has been fully accident free while in our care). We have a few diagnostics running due to that, but at the moment she isn't on any long term medications or special diets. She also needs to lose some weight so she can better care for herself.

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located at PAWS Old City Adoption Center located at 100 North 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. This location prioritizes appointments made by already approved applicants, but we can also accommodate browsers and walk-ins if and as our capacity allows. To ensure your best experience and best chance at meeting your new furry family member, we recommend completing the application ahead of your visit, which you can find at phillypaws.org/catapp.

If you have any questions, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext.30.
