Silverware's Story
Meet Silverware — aka Wary!

Dont let her name fool you—theres nothing cold or ordinary about this beautiful little girl! Silverware, affectionately called Wary, is a gorgeous silver tabby with a heart that is slowly learning just how wonderful the world can be.

Silverware and her brother, Shook, were rescued from an outdoor colony in Gilman, Connecticut, where we are helping with an extensive TNR effort. About 25 kittens and 20 adults have been brought in from the colony, helping to give these kittens a chance at loving indoor homes while preventing the cycle from continuing. Most of the adult cats are feral and have been returned to the colony after being spayed/neutered, while the kittens are getting their opportunity to know the good life.

Silverware is a sweet, playful girl who is a little more cautious at first. She may need a little time to decide that youre her person, but once she feels comfortable, youll discover what a wonderful little companion she can be. She absolutely loves to play, especially with her brother Shook, and she has one of the best purr motors around! Give her some love and she will happily fire that motor right up.

And can we talk about that coat?! Her beautiful silver tabby coloring is absolutely stunning, with soft stripes that make her look like she was painted in shades of silver and smoke.

Silverware would love a home where she can continue building her confidence, play to her hearts content, and shower her people with those magnificent purrs. A home with her brother Shook would be extra special, but the most important thing is finding her a family willing to let her blossom at her own pace.

If youre looking for a sweet little girl with gorgeous looks, a playful spirit, and a purr that could power a small appliance, Silverware (Wary) might just be your girl!

Silverware is available for adoption through Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue.

UPDATE: Wary went to get spayed and during her pre surgery exam the vet found she has a grade 4/6 heart murmur. We are doing more tests to see exactly what that means for her. She was not spayed ( yet).

——————————————————————
ALL OF OUR CATS ARE or will be SPAYED OR NEUTERED.

The Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue adoption donation for a cat is $320.00. This includes: spay/neuter (at our vet), vaccines (fvrcp, rabies), microchip, exam, snap test ( only done on kittens if mama cat is not known) ,deworming and our cats are on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm.

Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state. (This is typically around $50.00 - $75.00).

To apply to adopt one of our cats fill out our adoption application at this link:
https://form.jotform.com/ChasingSunshine/chasing-sunshine-cat-adoption-appl

For questions email: chasingsunshinedogrescue@gmail.com
Check out our website at www.chasingsunshinedogrescue.org
We are also on Facebook, TikTok & Instagram.
