Silver's Story

*Adoptions are currently by appointment. If you'd like to learn more or you are interested in adopting, please use the "Apply for Adoption" button to complete our adoption survey. This survey helps us learn more about you and answer any questions you may have, it is not a commitment to adopt.*

Hello, my name is Silver. I am a very sweet and very big boy! I love chin scratches and if you hit the right spot, I start to purr and drool. I seem to like kids and don't mind when dogs walk past my cubby.

Something special about me is that I am FIV+. FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. I should live a long and healthy life but need some special care in my new home. FIV+ cats should be kept exclusively indoors, free from unnecessary stress and fed a high-quality diet. Most importantly, any health issues that do arise - be it a dental issue, parasite infestation or common feline infections (like a UTI) should be dealt with as soon as possible by bringing me to the vet. FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs and is very hard to transfer to other cats.

If you have room in your heart for a special boy like me, fill our an adoption survey today! Feel free to call C.A.R.E. for more information too.
