Sif's Story

This cutie pie with those big eyes is Sif. She and her sister came to our rescue after their mom, Frigga, gave birth to them. Sif was born 36 hrs after her sister Hela. Her mom stopped her labor after having Hela for 36 hrs and then Sif was born. We were a little concerned in the beginning because of the head start that Hela had over Sif, but, it only took about 8 days for Sif to catch up to and surpass her sister in weight; she does like to eat!

Sif is the quieter of the sisters; but she has developed a gentle personality while keeping plenty of kitten energy. Eating is her favorite activity and after a good meal and a full belly, she wants to climb up in your lap, lay on your chest and purr herself to sleep. Sif will lay in wait for when Hela comes by and then will jump out to surprise her. She loves to sneak attack the other foster cats when they get close, attacking their tail and then running away.

Sif gets along really well with the other cats in her foster home. Ideally, it would be wonderful if she and her sister Hela could be adopted together, but, we understand that sometimes that is not possible. Sif absolutely needs to go to a home with another cat with close to her temperament and doesn't need to be home alone for extensive periods of time. She would not do well in a home by herself.

Sif would be best in a home with children over 10 years old. Of course proper adult supervision is always advised with children around small animals. She has not been around dogs, but, because she is so young, she should do okay with a low to med energy dog after proper introduction.

Sif has been spayed, FIV/feLV tested negative, had rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, dewormed and parasite treatment, on flea preventative and microchipped.
