SHYLOW's Story
SHYLOW's folks adopted her when she was a stray kitten in 2017, and they have been together ever since. Sadly, her dad recently died, and mom had to move. No one was able to take SHYLOW. Rather than leave her outside, when the landlord threatened to shoot her, the family surrendered her to the shelter. We are happy they did, because no cat should be left to fend for itself outdoors! It is not safe, and not all predators are 4 legged!

The family did say SHYLOW is nervous around people, but if they approach her calmly, she is cuddly and purrs. She doesn't like other cats and will growl and hiss. Since she isn't a fan of other cats, she's probably not going to like dogs either and would not do well with young children. She came from a home with older people and was the only pet, so would probably be best in a quiet home with little chaos. She should do ok with older children who understand that she may need time to warm up to them and although she might enjoy a bit of playtime, she might be more of a cuddle buddy than a playmate. SHYLOW is adjusting to the room.
SHYLOW likes to give kisses and will reach out for your hand for attention.

SHYLOW is a beautiful Calico, and we have seen that she wants attention! She can be quite vocal about it! She is a little confused about the changes in her life. She has yet another change ahead when she goes into a room with other cats. Hopefully she will adjust quickly,

SHYLOW has known love her whole life, and she misses her folks. She needs to find another home where she will be loved and cared for, this time forever!

DOB-07/2017 Entered Shelter-07/2025

If you are interested in adopting SHYLOW, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 for an appointment.
