Shyla's Story
Shyla is a "tabbico" (calico colors, tabby pattern) who is as timid as she is pretty. She was found alone and traumatized on the street at just a few weeks old. When she was first brought to her foster home she spent her time hiding from the other cats, dogs, and especially us humans. As we allowed her the solitude and safety she needed, she slowly emerged from her hideaway where she had been watching others play to joining in and bonding with all the house cats and dogs. Though she still avoids human touch, Shyla's curiosity is growing and she is inching closer to allowing pets and interaction, which she clearly wants. In order for Shyla to thrive she needs a home where she will be given lots of love and patience to grow past her fears, truly relax, and learn to trust humans.
