Shykin's Story

Meet Shykin! Shykin is a 7 week old female kitten. Shykin came into the shelter as a feral kitten covered in burrs. After a groom, some tender love and care this girly is coming out of her shell and is now trusting people! She loves being brushed and will purr with joy. She is still a little shy but she is no longer the feisty kitten that came into the shelter. Shykin is looking for a family that can go slow with her. If you're interested in Shykin please stop by the Pet Centre during our visiting hours!

Wetaskiwin Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

After selecting your pet, we require you to fill out the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. After this is done your new family member will be ready for pick up in 24 hours. This gives you time to ready your home for a new addition and gives us time to make sure that any paperwork and services required are complete. If you change your mind in this 24 hour hold period your payment will be refunded to you. Choosing a pet is a big decision for you and your family but it is also a big life change for your new pet. We require all potential adopters to meet the animal in person prior to adopting. We unfortunately cannot accommodate travel arrangements or shipping of an animal.
