Shorty (FIV+)'s Story
Poor Shorty looks so sad at the shelter. He arrived in November 2024, after someone who had been feeding him outside brought him so he wouldn’t be in the cold. He’d been abandoned outside. Shorty is approximately 1-2 years old, can be pet and is calm.

He is FIV positive. He still looks and acts like any other cat. FIV is only transmitted to other felines primarily through deep, penetrating bite wounds. His adoption fee has been waived because we just want him to find a good home.

He has been neutered, FeLV negative, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

Email us at info@cnysnap.org or visit the shelter if you'd like to meet our adorable Shorty.

Link to hours of when to visit cats at our Cortland shelter:
https://cnysnap.org/#hours.
