Shortbread's Story
SHORTBREAD WANTS SOMEONE TO TALK TO.
Shortbread is sensitive soul in a large body. He is the happiest when you are at home, so he has someone to chat with. Don’t worry – Shortbread may prefer your company, but he is a polite boy; he gives you space to do your thing. He just wants to enjoy your company and tell you lots of stories.
Shortbread prefers cat friends to dog friends; kitties don’t necessarily speak Dog fluently, and Shortbread has been known to be scared of large dogs. He will do best in a quiet home without young children.
Shortbread is not a lap cat but he is easy to handle — which is good news because this boy needs to be groomed regularly. Long, lush fur needs some TLC to stay beautiful. He is not fond of having his claws trimmed, so a trip to the groomer is recommended for his pawicures.
Shortbread needs a kind, patient owner who is willing to give him the time he needs to adapt to his new home. He may get nervous in new situations, so this boy needs an experienced owner to be the best he can be.

If you'd like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link - https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they've already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They've been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they're ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
