Shimmer was rescued by one of our trappers when she was found very pregnant on the streets. She had her kittens and went into foster for a while where her kittens are getting socialized. Shimmer was being a little too protective and not letting the kittens gain their independence so that just shows how much love she has to give. She's back at the shelter now waiting for you!

Shimmer is a young adult, she is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. She tested positive for FIV but negative for FELV, so she applies for our special needs rate. FIV+ does NOT require daily medications nor impact her quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission.
