Sherry's Story

ABOUT SHERRY!

Meet Sherry, our beautiful grey girl! This sweet lady came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in the south, where she had been their longest resident. Needless to say, this has all been a lot of changes for Sherry, so we sent her to decompress in one of our amazing foster homes!

Here's what Sherry's foster had to say about her:

"Sherry's favorite thing to do is "hit-the-rolls" where basically she'll run in front of you and just plop over, asking for pets. She will give you head bumps, constantly, until you pet her, but head & chin scratches have to be earned! First-time in new areas, she was definitely shy and cautious, and didn't like loud noises. Hated the Roomba with a passion! Well-behaved enough to leave home alone, she will just stare at nature/hunt and/or sleep until you're back
She thinks there's another cat when she looks in the mirror and gets feisty. Be prepared for her to always brush against your leg while you're in whatever room you're in because she followed me everywhere...even the bathroom. With her big, beautiful eyes, she will wait, patiently at the foot of your bed for you to wake up and feed her."

*Sherry doesn't like other cats, and we don't recommend dogs or children, as she can be nervous with noises.

**If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis, and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started!
