Shell's Story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Shell is a 1 year old sweetheart and was the mother of our Beach Litter. Simply put, she is just a baby herself. We got a call that a kitty and her little ones were living in some bushes in an apartment complex and were in desperate need of rescue. Our volunteers sprang into action and were able to get Shell and her babies to safety. After a trip to the vet and given the all clear, we placed them into one of our loving foster homes. All of the kittens have been adopted and now it is Shell's turn
She has the sweetest personality. She has been so gentle to all the humans that have helped her, its like she knows she's been given a second chance at life. She doesn't have to worry where her next meal is coming from. She gets to nap all day and get lots of kisses and cuddles from her foster home.
She has just discovered toys and is starting to play. Poor girl hasn't had a chance to be a kitten herself, well now is the time. She would love to have a cat tree in her forever home. Yummy treats and a water fountain. We think she could be a great addition to a home dynamic that has another cat, cat savvy dog or kids. We also think she would be just as content being your one and only. She is very easygoing. And if you are looking for a lap cat, look no further. She can't wait to meet you. Apply to adopt this spectacular girl today!
She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.
