Hello! My name is Shelby. I am four years old, a short hair beautiful gray and black tabby. I was trapped in a 20 foot street water drain and some passionate people rescued me. Desert Paws Rescue was contacted to see if they had a spot for me. They did!! Now that I have made a complete recovery, I am ready for my new forever home. I am a very sweet and loving cat. I can be a lap cat but I am a jealous cat, so I should be the only cat. I get along with my foster mom’s cat, but I do hiss at them from time to time.<br/><br/>Shelby is spayed, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.<br/><br/>!!! It is the policy of Desert Paws Rescue that all potential cat adopters complete a Cat Adoption Consultation Form and an interview with a Desert Paws representative in order to be considered as a forever home for our cats and kittens. Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
