Shelby has excellent litter box habits, is comfortable being left alone, and is happy in a peaceful home where she can relax and enjoy the attention she deserves. She would be a wonderful match for someone who wants a loving companion without an overly demanding personality.<br/><br/>Shelby has seen dogs and may be able to live with a calm, cat-savvy dog who will respect her space, with a slow and careful introduction. Her experience with other cats is unknown, so any feline introductions should also be done gradually.<br/><br/>Because Shelby appreciates a calmer environment and a little patience while adjusting, a quieter home with older, cat-savvy children would be preferred.<br/><br/>Shelby’s story began when she was found outside during the cold Michigan winter. A kind person had been feeding her, and with a dangerous polar vortex approaching, people came together to get her safely indoors. Now that chapter of her life is behind her. She’s warm, safe, fully vetted, and ready for the best part of her story — a forever family of her own. <br/><br/>Shelby may not fall in love with you the minute you walk through the door — but give her a little time, and you just might end up with the most devoted little best friend you could ask for.<br/><br/>Shelby is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125.
