SHEBA!'s Story
MEET SHEBA!

Now's your chance to own your very own House Puma! This stunning girl joined the rescue at around 9 years old after being found as a stray in Philadelphia. Sheba was microchipped but was found many miles from her previous home and the contact that her chip was registered to stated that she was no longer their cat. Needless to say, Sheba needed (and deserved!) a fresh start. This stunning girl is so sweet, gentle and laidback. She could be the perfect pet for you!

The first thing Sheba will do is greet you at the door after a long day at the office with some soft mews to let you know she's so happy to see you. She loves attention and affection, is very chatty, and is always down to play! She can be a little sensitive and may hide when she hears scary things such as the vacuum or even a heavy storm (this poor girl was surviving outdoors in the city!) but is easy to coax out once she knows you're there and she's safe. Sheba is currently in foster care but not living with other pets. We suspect she'd be okay in a home with other cats with a proper slow introduction, but think she'd be happiest in a lower-energy house to match her overall low-key vibes.

Sheba has had a veterinary workup since coming to the shelter and was found to have a eosinophilic granuloma in her mouth which is a benign spot of inflammation caused by an allergic reaction. She does appear to have a flea allergy and should stay current on her monthly flea treatments to avoid flareups. She has otherwise proven to be a healthy girl!

Sheba is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative.
