Shawna's Story

**The step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

This pretty girl has come a long way since she was first rescued but she is still in search of her very own forever home. Her mom tried hard to keep her little family safe under an old building down town. The neighbors were always good about feeding the trio but when they noticed Shawna's mom had an injured leg they knew they needed help. The little trio was trapped, brought into rescue together and all of them were vetted. They moved to foster after they were all healed up so that they could get some much needed socialization. Shawna is still a bit timid at times but she has really warmed up to the volunteers she is used to and trusts. She will need a home that understands that trust in a relationship with a rescued kitten takes time but it is time well spent to have a wonderful companion! Shawna was born July of 2021, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and micro-chipped. As always our adoption fee for cats/kittens is free will to approved applicants.

If you are interested in adopting, visit our webpage at emmetcountyanimalshelter.org and fill out the application found on the homepage. We work very hard to find lasting love through adoption for our furry friends and would like them to meet your entire family, including other pets, to ensure their next home is their FOREVER home! Adoption is a fun & fur-filled family affair at ECAS. We'd paws-i-tively love to hear from you! Call 712-209-1288 or e-mail us at emmetcountyanimalshelter@live.com.
