Shark Bait's Story

SHARK BAIT HOO HA HA

***Shark Bait is considered a "Manager Approval Only" adoption due to his missing leg. These types of adoptions take place Tuesday - Friday from 1pm - 5pm when a manager is present. This is to ensure animals that need special care are being put in the best homes possible***

Don't be intimidated by that gnarly scar, dude. Shark Bait can still "hang ten" on just 3 legs!

This derpy boy is a Flame Point Siamese believed to be a little over 4 months old. He is a male and is too young to be neutered at this time!

Shark Bait came to HSHP after one of our vets reached out and asked if we could help him out. Shark Bait was not necessarily a pet, but a barn mouser in training before he somehow got wrapped up severely in some wire. The owner of the farm, wanted to help him, but did not have the money to pay for the surgery.
With a personality as precious as Shark Bait's it was clear to see why the good vet was desperate to find him an alternative solution other than euthanasia.

All of the staff at HSHP are madly in love with this little due and know how wonderful of a life he is going to lead despite only having 3 legs.
Shark Bait is healing absolutely wonderfully and is already a pro at navigating around on 3 wheels.
We have not tested him much with other cats and dogs and while we do think he would adapt great to other animals, we do want to ensure that he will not be hurt by another animal even if its just playing. Shark Bait would also do great with children, but we would very much implore the parents to remain vigilant and not let small children handle him much at all while he is still healing. If you do touch his wound just right, it does cause him to flinch in pain.
Shark Bait is just a child himself and will also need to be supervised when he is in playful moods. He will most definitely attempt to jump down from high up surfaces and that could end pretty poorly if he does not land right.

Shark Bait is so social and very talkative! He is going to do great in his new home and will provide you with endless love and laughs.
He has been started on his vaccines and is now ready to surf the big wave home!
