Shadow - At Petsmart's Story
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 2 years
Gender: Spayed Female
Litter Box Trained: Yes
Declawed: No
Adoption Fee: $150

Am I good with:
Cats: Yes, would do best with another cat
Dogs: We can test upon request
Children: 5+

About me: Shadow is a quiet presence who lives up to her name in the gentlest way. She tends to linger just nearby at first, observing and taking everything in, especially in new environments. With time and patience, she begins to feel safe and lets her sweet, affectionate nature show through. Shadow would do best in a calm, understanding home where she’s allowed to move at her own pace and settle in comfortably, becoming a soft, steady companion once trust is built.

This cat has been at ARP since: 1/9/26

–

The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.

Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet.

Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible.

All cats and kittens are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medical treatment to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are feline leukemia tested, and cats at least a year old are also tested for feline immuno virus. Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kitten stays with us long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination.

Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.

The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
