Shadow - A sweet, sensitive girl's Story

Meet Shadow — a tender, thoughtful girl with a very quiet kind of bravery.

Shadow was born in May 2025 alongside her sister, Sadie, to a feral mom. The girls were safely trapped in early August, and Shadow’s first experience with people was being brought in to be spayed — which is why her ear is notched. Since then, she’s been discovering that the world can be safe, gentle, and kind.

Shadow is a sensitive soul who feels most comfortable in calm, cozy spaces and with a soft approach. She watches carefully, learns quietly but quickly, and grows a braver each day. It is amazing to witness her progress. She finds confidence in her sister Sadie and does wonderfully with other cats. During feeding and snack time, Shadow enjoys gentle pets. She also loves to sit and nap close beside her foster person, choosing to be near the person she trusts most. She loves to watch birds and squirrels outside from the top of kitty towers or window sills, and when the
toys come out — especially a laser pointer or a toy on a string — her playful side shines through.

These glimpses of trust and joy are incredibly special to witness. Shadow has come to recognize and trust her foster and will come forward to greet him when he enters the house or room she is in. She is learning to enjoy her surroundings and humans.
Shadow would thrive in a peaceful, patient home with someone who understands that the deepest bonds are built slowly and lovingly. She would be happiest adopted with her sister Sadie, or into a home with another confident, friendly cat to help her continue building her confidence.

If you have a gentle heart and find joy in watching a shy cat blossom, Shadow may be the special companion you’ve been waiting for.

Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, deworming, and flea prevention.
