Shadow's Story

Shadow came into our care when we were notified about a post on Facebook from a Good Samaritan that found him, as a 5 week old kitten, out at Pioneers Park all alone and secluded with no siblings or mother in sight. At that time the only conclusion is that he may have been dumped but he could not have survived with coyotes and foxes out at that park so they took him with them. Shadow is just over a year old and he definitely loves the cuddles and loves from his foster mom and foster siblings that all accepted him as one of their brothers.

Max Raven Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The interested party fills out an adoption application off of our website. We check vetting of current or past pets to ensure they have been kept up to date. If renters, we call and check with landlord to be sure pets are allowed and they are aware. If homeowners, we check with county assessor to be sure they do own the home. We check with two references they put on their application. We do a meet and greet while simultaneously doing a home check. The meet and greet is also to introduce other resident pets to the potential adoption pet to ensure there is not out of the ordinary issues or aggression.
