Seymour's Story

Best Match:

May be a good match for adopters with some experience

Could join a calm home with older kids

May be okay with other cats

Currently on daily medication for possible arthritis

Needs to be indoor-only

Seymour is a social cat who truly enjoys being around people. He settles in quickly to new spaces and new friends. When he’s first starting to get to know you, he’ll rub against you incessantly as if to say “Hello! It’s nice to meet you.” He will also rub and brush against you when he wants your attention.

One of Seymour’s greatest enjoyments is a good forehead massage, and it’s something he looks forward to (and demands!) every evening. He’ll sit with you on the sofa at the end of each day, waiting expectantly for you to spoil him with love while you watch TV. While he’s not a huge fan of being picked up or held, he absolutely loves being petted, especially from his head down his back.

Though he’s a senior cat, Seymour is fit, active, and quick on his feet. His favorite time of day is in the evening after sunset, when it’s time to play. He likes to hunt and stalk toys like felted mice or small bouncy balls, or even things he considers obstacles like the couch and scratch pads before pouncing. His favorite toy of all is a wand toy with a pink ball that he loves catching. He’ll track it, grab it, and pin it down as if it’s his prey. A good play session with him is a good 20-30 minutes before he settles in to relax.

Seymour is currently taking medication for a possible arthritis issue. He takes the medication well, and if you’ve never given medication to a cat before, we’re happy to show you how.

Seymour is a very good cat who is good to everyone. He deserves a loving and caring home for the many happy years he has ahead of him. Could it be with you?

Seymour is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
