Serendipity's Story
Serendipity's name fits her perfectly - because finding her was truly meant to be. This beautiful girl was once part of a stray colony and still carries her little tipped ear as a reminder of where she came from. At one point she almost didn't make it, but thanks to some kind humans, Serendipity got a second chance at life. Because of her past, Serendipity is still very shy and skittish around people. Sudden movements - especially hands reaching toward her face - can make her nervous, so she tends to keep her distance. But underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet girl who really wants to trust. If you gently pet her while she's relaxed or not focused on you, you'll hear the softest little purr start up. It's her quiet way of saying she likes the affection, she's just still learning that people can be safe. Serendipity's favorite thing in the world is playtime. When the toys come out, her brave side shines through, and she forgets to be quite so nervous. She also adores other cats, and having a feline friend around helps her feel more comfortable and reminds her of her colony days. Serendipity will need a patient, understanding home with someone willing to give her time to adjust and blossom at her own pace. She may never be the cat that runs up to greet you at the door but for the right person, earning her trust will be incredibly special. If you have a calm home, lots of patience, and maybe a friendly cat to show her the ropes, Serendipity just might be the quiet little miracle you've been looking for.
