Serena's Story
Meet Serena......a sweet, shy brown gold tabby who along with her housemates were dumped to the curb after their owner was evicted. We think they all suffered some neglect prior to the eviction but now in the care of Second Chance have been eating regularly, gained some weight, and are ready to find a loving, stable home.

According to Serena's foster Mom "Serena is a sweet little kitty who loves to have her head scratched. A little shy at first, she warms up quickly with soft talk and gentle praise. Serena loves her toys, especially a ping pong ball. She would thrive in a quiet home where she can be the queen".

Serena is ready to blossom in the right home with an adopter who will initially give her a small space to feel comfortable and then will give her daily praise and pets. Serena is such a nice girl. We know the shyer kitties are often overlooked however with Serena if you give her a chance you will be well rewarded with affection and love.

Serena would do best in a quieter, routine home, likely with a single person or couple. Serena could easily be part of a home with a friendly laid back even though she'd relish being an only kitty.

Serena is in foster care. If you are interested in meeting her, after your application is approved a visit can be arranged with the foster parent.

Serena has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Serena has an approximate birthdate of 10/03/2021. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Serena or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
