Serena's Story
Meet Serena......a sweet, shy brown gold tabby who along with her housemates were dumped to the curb after their owner was evicted. We think they all suffered some neglect prior to the eviction but now in the care of Second Chance have been eating regularly, gained some weight, and are ready to find a loving, stable home.

Serena is unassuming. She is the shyest of her housemates. However, she is very friendly and loves pets once you sit down and begin to pet her. She really doesn't want to be a wallflower. She wants to be noticed but is not confident to be in your face to get your attention. Serena is ready to blossom in the right home with an adopter who will initially give her a small space to feel comfortable and then will give her daily praise and pets. Serena is such a nice girl. We now the shyer kitties often get overlooked but if you take just a minute to seek her out you will be well rewarded with affection.

Serena would do best in a quieter, routine home, likely with a single person or couple. Serena could easily be part of a home with friendly, laid back kitties.

Our sweet, shy girl is in foster care. If you are interested in meeting her, after your application is approved a visit can be arranged with the foster parent.

Serena has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Serena has an approximate birthdate of 10/03/2021. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Serena or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
