Unfortunately, my story is not unique. After living with my owner all my life, 9 years as of today, she surrendered me to HSHC because she was moving. So, I am going to be a patient, friendly girl while I wait to meet you. When the medical staff checked me over, they told me I needed to lose weight. I'm not shocked. I knew I was having trouble grooming myself these days. When your tummy gets in the way, it's hard to reach all the areas. I also had ear infections in both ears when I arrived. So I've been taking medicine and trying to resist the room service food. Goodness, it's so difficult to ignore those tasty bowls of food. I am in a Roaming Room, so we all have access to several dishes of food. I always worry I'll get there too late. Oh, dear. My coat's appearance has improved quite a bit, and now I feel tip-top. The interviewer lady was surprised to see how nice I looked and how very friendly I was with her. I encouraged her to pet me all over! Receiving attention and affection are my favorite things, just after FOOD! Whoops, I am not supposed to admit I can be a binge eater! If you understand how hard it is to maintain a girlish figure, you would be the perfect companion for me! Perhaps board games or bird watching will distract me. 7-11-24
