Seraphina's Story

Seraphina is the absolute sweetest!! Friendly, gentle, affectionate, loving and as sweet as can be. A Good Samaritan saw Seraphina walking funny on the sidewalk in Asbury Park at the beginning of October. Seraphina looked drunk walking down the street because she was wobbly and a bit uncoordinated!
There's a reason for that-Seraphina has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH).
CH is a developmental condition where the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance and coordination) fails to develop properly.

CH doesn't effect Seraphina's quality of life in any way-it just makes her wobbly and appear like she's had one too many drinks lol! It's really quite adorable and endearing.
Seraphina should be monitored around stairs and when jumping off of high surfaces but she doesn't need any special accommodations, nor does she have any restrictions.

Seraphina is also positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). FeLV is a retrovirus that only affects cats and cannot be spread to humans and other animals. FeLV causes a cat to have a weaker immune system. However, FeLV+ cats can live fulfilling and happy lives like any other cat-and they can live for many years.
FeLV+ cats should be kept indoors, fed a nutritious and balanced diet and received routine veterinary care.
FeLV+ cats should not be around cats that are negative for FeLV.
Seraphina is all the cat you need-she is the happiest little lady and wants nothing more than to be loved and to love someone right back.
